Public Records Office
The Public Records Office holds many railway archives including some employee archives. Try searching for "LNER" in their Public Records Office Catalogue.

National Archives of Scotland
Scotland has its own National Archives. As would be expected, it contains records relating to the North British Railway and Great North of Scotland Railway, as well as the national LNER.

National Railway Museum
The National Railway Museum also has extensive archives of people and railways, as well as detailed drawings and plans.
