It makes a lot of sense now that the Skegness services go by that route.
If the developers are reluctant, then the council should make the provision of a station one of the necessities of gaining planning permission for the entire development.
I'm sure that the construction companies would soon get the message, and eventually use the new station as a selling point for the housing.

regrettably planning permission has already been granted under the Proviso that they build a road overbridge over the Grantham to Nottingham line, but the chances of it ever being built are worrying to put it mildly as S.K.D.C. have previously shown a complete lack of commitment in dealing with such matters.
As for the station. The latest report carried out for Network Rail has suggested only allowing trains on their tracks that are operated by companies using only STEAM Locomotives
