Pulham St Mary Air Station Norfolk

Post by Bryan »

Whilst looking through the photos on the article on the Airships at Pulham St Mary.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-norfolk-17689509

I noticed on one of the shots that there is what looks like a railway line through the base.
Would anyone know anything about this "Military" line?
I have only seen it on one of the shots with the Airship being held down by a lot of bodies.

Pulham Airfield siding was commissioned in February 1916 and remained in use until February 1958. The connection with the Waveney Valley line was at 2m 73ch, facing Tivetshall.
