If you owned a railway company...
Here's where you can imagine what you would do if you ran a railway company. I do this all the time.
Basically, here's where you 'operate' a railway company and 'own' rolling stock, track, ect.
I'll show my idea.
Nottingham & Sheffield
CME: 'Green Arrow'
The Nottingham and Sheffield Railway is a line that currently operates Nottingham to Leicester (Midland Route), but plans to extend services to Sheffield. We use steam, mainly Directors, Rebuilt Clauds, and GWR Cities.
In case of fire bans, we have a few 08's and Peaks.
We are also planning to purchase 6201 of the LMSR.
Our services are all passenger, except pickup goods, operated by an 08.

Ok heres mine
Saltburn, Middlesbrough & Whitby
The Saltburn, Middlesbrough & Whitby railway operates the line out of Saltburn and runs services to Middlesbrough and Whitby. The line will be 3rd rail electrified so if needs be we can run LNER EMU's. Among the stock we will have;
Several steam rail motors for the 'quiet' periods
Articulated suburban stock for the commuter trains
corridor coaches for the usual services throughout the day
Locomotives
J39's
J72's
K3's
Unfortunatly due to the line being as it is A3's A4's and the like would not be ideal, however if the compnay extends through to york these locos would be ideal.

The Bellingham and Redesmouth Advanced Transportation System
We operate a 15-minute frequency 12-vehicle formation maglev service, but retain conventional standard gauge tracks for engineering and contingencies. Our slam-door, teak-bodied maglev units are unique, having a dedicated cattle/sheep car built in to cater for our predominantly rural customer-base.
The maglev units have a potential maximum speed of 250mph but are currently unable to achieve this because the signalling system, which uses lower-quadrant paraffin-lit semaphores, requires token exchange to take place when the train is stationary. We are examining the possibility of introducing the "one engine in steam" system instead, though we would, of course, have to call it the "one train in magnetic levitation" system. We will also need to convert the trainman-operated level crossings to automatic operation or close them completely, as these also restrict achievable speed.
Our engineering trains are operated by a pair of J21s, one of which is a new build. We are also considering procurement of a replica "Hush-Hush" fitted with an adapter coupling to act as a rescue locomotive in case one of the maglevs fails.
To maximise revenue, as patronage between our two termini is patchy (it can be busy on market days, mind), we welcome commercial partnerships of all kinds. At present one of the J21s is in an eye-catching vinyl wrap advertising the Setanta satellite TV channel. The other carries the "Northern Rock" logo on its tender, but we haven't received payment for that yet, for some reason. The J21s have also received names: one is titled "Gordon Ramsay's Restaurants are Still Good", and the other, "Troop Surge". We did, however, turn down a request to name one "Lovely Gordon Brown is Listening to You" - the company prides itself on its standards of taste. And in any case, the J21's splasher won't accommodate a plate with that many letters on it.
We hope to extend from Bellingham across the border to Deadwater (possibly even to Riccarton), and are hoping that the fine people of Transport Scotland will pick up the tab for this innovative way of bringing new life to a declining rural community and re-establishing Redesmouth's status as a modern transport hub.

Interesting combination of motive power there Bullhead.
I am pleased to announce that the Saltburn, Middlesbrough and Whitby (SM&WR) railway has been given permission to extend through to Rillington Junction, where we can then join the mainline and make a connection to York, which is quick and easy.
Because of this extension we are now changing our name, which will be a mamoth task, to 'The York & Yorkshire Coast Railway' or Y&YC. Due to this extension in route we need reliable motive power and comfortable coaching stock so I propse having;
P2's, the steep gradient out of Grosmont and the many curves tight curves on the line an ideal situation for the P2's.
A8's for the local stopping passenger trains on all of the line
Coaching stock will take the form of Gresley varnished teak bodied coaches and Thompson Steel sided in Crimson and Cream. As global warming is a bit scare atm I also propose the reintorduction of fish vans and general freight wagons to attempt to get vans and lorrys off the roads. As an incentive I will offer freight services at £2 a mile, no matter how much they carry. Main income will come from passenger traffic during the holiday season and commuting passengers.
