Re: Daves C & W Works
You should have some GN buffers (Trice-printed or authorised cast copies in resin) in with the miscellaneous parts for that dining saloon Dave. If there definitely are none, let me know before next weekend and I'll bring some spares to the Knavesmire - unless of course you want to try to find/make some metal ones of the correct type. Hens' teeth I suspect...

Get that bench cleared, you'll have another wagon to finish after the weekend.
Did you enjoy the Harz and Danglebahn?

Yes, we had a great time, I got a couple of MH covers for your beloved, but she might already have them.
Up the Brocken twice and it snowed on us first time. The dingledangle is amazing especially the terminus wher it does a 180deg turn.
Thanks Chaz, I think it will look nice.

A few more from the Harz trip.
A most enjoyable week organised by Graham Nicholas with fellow traverlers Jill and Steve Pearse.
1st photo by Graham is the first train of the day leaving Wernigerode station for the Brocken.
2nd photo 2 railcars and steam at the junction at Elsfelder Talmuhle, the railcar on the right was the one we traveled on from Alexisbad and will continue on to Nordhausen, the other will go back on the branch we came on. 99 7237 will form our train to Wernigerode.
3rd photo Graham and Steve on a double deck train in Brussels.
4th photo........and why not.

Re: Daves C & W Works
Not sure why some photos are sideways.
Some modelling has been done.
Jonathan handed me a part built LNER 55T flat wagon at York Show. The bogies are a gift from Jesse in Austrailia (they can't all be convicts can they) and a part made body Jonathan had started. Ive added some brass angle to the inderside to keek the body flat, it had started to warp. Brake gear has been added. The bogies, I had one screw snap and I've drilled it out and replaced with a 8ba nut and bolt.
Then a pair of LNER heavy bogies I got at the show to enable a Kirk buffet car I started in the 70's and has been a on off project ever since.
Said Buffet car with split floor it's that old, I flush glazed it when I built it, needs new cell boxes and other underframe bits.

Small bits of plastic added to both sides of the Flat wagon to allow the rings to be added, 2 of which are attached.

Coming on nicely. Maybe the next time Convict Boy is allowed out of the country we can get all three together?

Re: Daves C & W Works
That would be fun, plus we would then have 1 more than the LNER had.
Do you think he would be allowed back into the motherland after last time, that episode with the duck..............

Re: Daves C & W Works
During a break in the weather....the sun shone today (amazing) and it was warm (gob smacked), so I took the
opportunity to prime the body and later give it a coat of Tamiya spray paint TS-4 German Grey.
Next step to paint the tinber planking.
