LNER 0-6-4 Tank Locomotives
The 0-6-4T was a development of the 0-6-2T design, enabling a greater capacity of coal and water to be carried. However, the arrangement was never popular in the UK, and the LNER only inherited a total of thirteen 0-6-4Ts from the Lancashire Derbyshire & East Coast Railway (LD&ECR) via the Great Central Railway (GCR), and the Metropolitan Railway. It did not develop the design any further.
