61654 Sunderland
It was rumoured that an EWS loco was going to be named Sunderland and the nameplate was going to be an exact replica of a B17 complete with football. Has this happened yet.
Hi interested in the area served by 52D. also researching colliery wagonways from same area.

Im keeping a close eye on Eastleigh stabling point for a look a a few shots of my own, but not next saturday Bittern to Portsmouth harbour, finally a chance tick another one off on my to film list (ticked Clan Line off on 21st October). As far as namings go I think there is alot of naming operunities that have been missed or unuesd. The 60 idea sounds good be remember these are freight engines so A3/4 names may have not been a good idea.
Couple of my ideas are a bit elaborate.
Naming the National Express class 90's (entering service 2010 on the ECML) could take the names of LNER pacfics
ONE's un-named class 90's taking the names of B17's or Britannias
The arriva cross country start up sound like a good operitunity. for example something like Jubillie Voyager does not sound that bad.
Class 67's are another area that could take old loco names or something from steam days for insperation anyway.

The weather here is Baltic but so were the tank engines
