Grounded Brake van bodies? - NER V4 Specifically

Good morning all,

I have been gifted a set of sides and ends for and NER V4 brake van. It has duckets/sidecotes and other details but I plan to use those for converting a V1 Birdcage van into a V1/3 van as per a photo in the Sadler book and as Paul Gallon has done here - http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index. ... ntry769557

I was wondering what to do with the rest and already having a Connoisseur V4 kit in the stash to complete, I started thinking about a grounded van body. This would be the simplest use for the other bits but were any ever grounded anywhere?
