Bolton Abbey Platform Two appeal

Post by Autocar Publicity »

The Embsay & Bolton Abbey Railway (where the autocar is based) is looking to develop Bolton Abbey station. One of the things we'd like to do is re-instate the second platform. We've been raising funds for a while - for instance the railway is registered on E-Bay as a charity - and sales of donated items have boosted the coffers for this platform appeal.

As you may know, every Waitrose supermarket donates £1000 to three local good causes. This is distributed according to the number of 'votes' cast by customers - they are given tokens at the till and put them in a three-part box on their way out.
Anyway, during July, the Otley branch of Waitrose will have our Platform Two appeal as one of the good causes. If you (or friends and family) are able to use the Otley branch during July, your support would be much appreciated.
