Regular readers to this forum know i move around a bit with work and often come across railway related stuff, well yesterday was no exception called to a breakdown on Pensnett trading estate nr Kingswinford i couldnt find the company i was looking for but did spot two plinthed locos one steam and one diesel on the estate. I didnt have time to stop and check them out so as usual kind readers can you help me, i have already tried an online search to no avail.

Hi interested in the area served by 52D. also researching colliery wagonways from same area.

Obviously a Manning Wardle- it looks just like the long lost NSR "Bamburgh"

Yep EM thats it, more nosing required i couldnt see a worksplate but i have a M&W history and a Nameplate off M&W E class DESPATCH.

Be interesting if it does go to the BCLM - apart from the tramway and some short lengths of narrow gauge track at one of the coal mine areas, there is no railway representation whatsoever

Following further information its a Manning & Wardle W/No.2025 an "L" class. Exactly the same as North Sunderlands BAMBURGH although built a long time after.
