In 1937. three 8-coach non-ganwayed sets were built for the Cheshire Lines Committee to LNER designs.
I can find only vague mentions in the books I have.
Does anyone have formation details for these sets, please?

Robert,
There's a picture of a complete set (possibly when new) in G.M. Kitchenside's Railway Carriage Album. The same photo may also appear elsewhere. Judging by what you can see in the photo and going on the info in Harris's books they're in LNER Standard Gresley Carriages and mentioned in LNER Carriages) it looks like two each of diagrams CLC83 (BT-T) and CLC84 (T-CL) with the BTs outermost and the CLs in the centre of the train. Photos from 1949-1950 suggest at least one set still in this formation in that period.

Thanks, I had looked in the earlier Harris book but it seems his revised LNER Coaches book has more in it.
