Fund raising for railways

Post by Tom Quayle »

I was sat lineside the other day when I had an idea, being into hill walking and cycling as well as railways why not get sponcered to ride from my home in Barrow to the centre where something is being restored (within reason / doable in a week eg Darlington/NYMR) and the sponcership goes to the project any suggestions????

I'll try and get on once a week to check but hectic shedual
30777 Sunday and Monday
5690, 4965, 71000 and 48151 the 1st week of september and then 2 galas in October (KWVR bring on 30777 and 5690 and NYMR)
The weather here is Baltic but so were the tank engines
Furness Railway and GCR fan.
125mph tilt vs 126.5mph duck

How about sponsership to visit all preserved railways in Britain? Money could go to Tornado and the F5.
Nice N2 I've got here. Probably send it to 'The Cross'.

The problem with visiting every preserved railway is that it would take too long, plus if Iam visiting somewhere I always like to give something back.

The choice has been made now anyway Barrow-Pickering for the LNER coach assiation. I will be posting when sponsewrship opens.
