Nice one

Post by Malcolm »

Browsing around the net looking for interesting videos and came across this:

http://www.blinkvid.com/video/77425/BR- ... -and-White

18 minutes long with a lot of cool stuff.

Very nice shots, some of which I've seen before. Like the idea of the 'period' radio show, even if it does feature Tony Blackburn!

For what it's worth, and by trying to count the film clips in order to attempt some listings, I think I picked up the following locations :

5th - (2 trains and bracket signal), Marshmoor
6 & 7 - South of Hawkshead bridge (from Down side)
8 - Site of Hawkshead siding, Down side (near ground level) .
9-20 - WCML, several around Bushey (a couple 'under the wires' look to have a dismantled semaphore signal laying in the cess)
....( 10 Bushey troughs)
....( 20 Berkhamsted)
[ 27 - 60532, complex track layout, but where (LM Region? - signals look ex-LNWR) ]
36? - Oxford?
40/41? - (SR pacific / 84005) - Leicester?
52? - (60026?, light engine) - Newcastle north diamond crossings

[ Total - 67? ]

Sounds as if there are some interesting things to see on that Blinkvid site; only thing is, the link won't take me there and nor will actually typing in the address. I did notice some pretty negative comments and reviews about the site though, so just wondering if anyone else has anything "bad" to report about Blinkvid and if not, any ideas about accessing it any other way?

Best Regards,

John C.

Most of these video 'finds' on websites are actually ripped from published videos/dvds and therefore subject to copyright.

Maybe the authorities are cracking down on these pirates and closing the websites?
