Rail tour images

Post by upney sidings »

I recently upload 86 rail tour images to my web gallery from regions of BR other than the Southern. The link thereto is http://gallery62603.fotopic.net/c1912858.html and the period covered is 1950 thru’ 1968.

I’ve subsequently uploaded 70+ pictures of rail tours either on SR metals or involving SR motive power and the period covered is 1950 thru’ 1969. The link to them is http://gallery62603.fotopic.net/c1915843.html

The above collections seem to have found a life of their own without any promotion which is, of course, gratifying as it makes the effort put into the enterprise personally worthwhile. A useful by-product of it is that most of the gaps in my knowledge have been quickly revealed and either corrected or enhanced in the image captions. Additions and further corrections are always gratefully received.

One hopes that these archive pictures reward viewers with some enjoyment.

Regards,
Mike M.
