Re: GNR Atlantics & other Ivatt Designs
Neil, I wonder if this one could be of the Up direction working of this train? : Because, although it indeed looks like 'near Welwyn'(Garden City, south of : The six tracks form a good clue to that), I can only think that the twin banner repeating signals bracket, the rear of which is visible through the bridge, would be those for Hatfield No.2 box's Up Fast & Slow First Home signals, making the train, more specifically, as running on the UF (& the bridge, that of the A414 road to Hertford), north of Hatfield.neildimmer wrote: " Hi All

Re: GNR Atlantics & other Ivatt Designs
In case of very local historical interest to anyone, I could have more precisely described the A414 as running between the nearby 'Jack Olding's' Corner junction on the A1, and Hertford (this is still, as stated, just north of Hatfield).neildimmer wrote:StevieG wrote:Neil, I wonder if this one could be of the Up direction working of this train? : Because, although it indeed looks like 'near Welwyn'(Garden City, south of : The six tracks form a good clue to that), I can only think that the twin banner repeating signals bracket, the rear of which is visible through the bridge, would be those for Hatfield No.2 box's Up Fast & Slow First Home signals, making the train, more specifically, as running on the UF (& the bridge, that of the A414 road to Hertford), north of Hatfield.neildimmer wrote: " Hi All
