Hornby Gresley Sleeper First (SLF); to which Diagram built?

I am new here

I just acquired a new Hornby Gresley Sleeper First (SLF). Can anybody tell me to which diagram this coach was built?
Pictures are very hard to find on the net. I found 1 on flickr but that one has a different panelling and window arrangement than the Hornby version. Any leads, pictures, info etc. are welcome.

Hello and welcome Sayajirao,

to me it looks like a diagram 17 Gresley 61' 6" , built at Doncaster in 1924/25.
I can't tell the number from the hornby photo otherwise I could narrow it down further for you.

My SLF has number E1268E, the alternate numbered Hornby SLF has number E1261E.

Hope you can narrow it down a bit more now.

1268 was built as 10200J in August 1925, renumbered in April 1927
1261 was built as 10199J in June 1925, renumbered in March 1927

Got another, older, Hornby sleeper with number E1237E, same paneling as the newer Hornby sleepers, so must be the same diagram. Can you get some info on this one as well?

All 3 are the same diagram.
1237 was built December 1924 as 10197J, renumbered August 1926.

The Gresley sleeper coaches appear to be rare birds when it comes to pictures found on the internet.

As you can see the paneling is different from the Hornby Diagram 17s that you identified.

Do you know to which diagram this particular SLF was built?

Btw the Gresley appears to be coupled to another sleeper (Mk1?) coach, I see now. Would sleeper coaches preferrably be attached at the end of trains, as seen in this picture? More quiet, less smoke etc?
