Travis' Folly
Travis' Folly was a 19 arch viaduct for farmer's cows, built in 1865 near Shottle on the Duffield-Wirksworth line (Derbyshire). It was blown up by the Army in 1933, leaving 2 arches that still span the Ecclesbourne stream. Pictures of what this incredible structure looked like can be seen on my website at http://www.wirksworth.org.uk/X397.htm Does anyone have more information about the Folly, even pictures, which I can add to my webpage?
