How about this, 77 years after it was put up and still pronouncing its the LNER Engineers Department. The building is Darlington Park Lane workshops just up from the Station. How many more signs still survive today to show the existanse of the LNER?

There used to be an Eastern Region blue enamelled sign at Mexborough it may still be there for all i know that read LNER Sports and Athletic club.
Hi interested in the area served by 52D. also researching colliery wagonways from same area.
