Cyril Freezer late of the Railway Modeller and the writer of small layouts plans has passed away peacefully at home.
May he rest in peace.

I think it is quite telling that his death is being noted on every British related modelling forum that I read. He casts quite a long shadow so that even a relative newcomer to modelling such as myself is well aware of contributions. I even own a couple of his books, and particularly liked his down-to-Earth comments about finescale modelling in the design manual!
