G'Day Gents
I don't have the relevant books, and the ones I do have don't list which A1/3's do, but does anyone have a list of the A1 and A3's fitted with a corridor tender, I have a few, F Scotsman, Royal Lancer, Flying Fox and Harvester and I think also Shotover. Thanks.

Re: A1/3's Corridor tenders
A total of twenty-two corridor tenders were built: initially a batch of ten, followed by a single one, then a batch of four and, finally, a further seven. All tenders', when new, were initially attached to A1, A3 and A4 locomotives, sometimes to existing locos', others built at the time the loco was built and others as a loco was re-built.
Over time all but one tender was used/transferred between a variety of different loco's - those that might be used non-stop between London and Edinburgh. They were all subsequently modified and ended up attached to A4 locomotives. [See Yeadons Register of Pacific Tender Engines]
A good online source, for detailed information on the corridor tenfer,s may be found at:

I hope that this helps !
