K1 62005 at Heaton MPD

I cannot remember taking this but have been restoring this image https://ironroad.smugmug.com/1960s-Stea ... -d45H7Cp/A for a while. I have no details of the scene or anyone featured - it may be a celebration at Heaton of the end of NE steam at Tyne Dock where the loco was stabled. If anyone has any details, please let me know. In 'Six Bells Jct.' there was the GMRS Newcastle Railtour on 9th September 1967 along with 60103, 7029 and D1994 when it worked the N. bound train from K.E.B.Junction to Newcastle Central, presumably taking over from 7029 for platform clearance and perhaps taken the stock to Heaton for servicing and for this little cameo! I assume there were quite a few taking pictures! I would greatly appreciate any information regarding names of those featured.

Only two I can identify are Morris Mowbray, extreme left with foot on rail and Alan Wappat next to him. Both were Tyne Dock firemen before moving to Tyne Yard when the depot closed.

Thank you 52A that's a cracking start. I'm pretty sure that's the day of the Gainsborough MRS Tour, though would like confirmation of that. It would be quite a historic snap - possibly the last working steam locomotive shedded in the North East!
