City of Truro was in the old York Museum before and up until the war, and I think returned to it afterwards for a while. Presumably No 1 and Henry Oakley were also moved but where, does anyone one know?
Clun Castle was in the North East about September/October 1967. Cannot help with a date for the railtour.

Train will have gone quicker on the return then!Micky wrote:by preserved 4-4-0s No.3440 CITY of TRURO & Midland Compound No.1000.
On the return journey CITY of TRURO was taken off south of Peterborough with a hot-box leaving the Compound to return unaided.
