There is an interesting colour photo on page 63 of "British Railway Stations in Colour" taken in 1963. If you haven't seen this book its well worth looking out for. Tim

There was an article in the Meccano Magazine in about 1955 about the branch over the bridge to the flour mill. It was worked by a horse.

I did see the track once when I cycled over from York. Later on I had another look. The track had been replaced by a large diameter gas main on stools. It leaked as I recall. Hoiwever I did not report the leak, although now-a-days I would feel obliged to.
