Will your wallet have to be beaten into submission for a D11 BB?
I've got Butler Henderson on order from the NRM

Ay up, Blackout!
Little chance of that - I did manage to slip a Hornby 28xx past it plus a new brake caliper ( ) but its hiding behind sandbags now with a machine gun.

Presumably you will not be contemplating a 5-BEL any time soon?

Re: Calming the (in)famous Yorkshire Wallet
I might tempt you to shell out for one BB, as I did see bacchy's pre-production D11/2 at York today:
I must've looked like a right prat asking about the whereabouts of the D11/1 prototypes, I was stuttering and everything
One of them is at the NRM on display in the shop, but I didn't get a chance to visit today
I can confirm, to my own relief that there is a tender fall plate.I must've looked like a right prat asking about the whereabouts of the D11/1 prototypes, I was stuttering and everything

Ay up!
Nah, it'll be the blue 2-8-0 above it that's REALLY got my attention.
Maybe next year.
It can't have been my ol' girl at the Knavesmire. She's locked up in the old Sunbeam factory here in Wolves awaiting delivery of parts.
Appropriate really. Seeing as Citroen own the Sunbeam brand these days. Along with Hillman, Singer and Humber.

Re: Calming the (in)famous Yorkshire Wallet
That li'l 2-8-0 is lovely, but I'm devoted to buying this Butler Henderson. I've sacrificed getting the Brighton belle for it. I might just manage to get the double tender Bittern if I see one for a good enough price at Warley this year. That's pocket money for you, but with this TMC 60007 I shelled out for in February which I'd been saving up for since last September and the Blue Peter for my birthday, I'm not doing too bad this year.

Ay up!
She's a Xantia with seized RH front caliper. Part ordered. Awaiting delivery.
Oh, and a set of recoilless hammers! I know how to make her suffer!

Re: Calming the (in)famous Yorkshire Wallet
I had an old car that did that to me...twice. I got the army to use it as a target for a live-fire exercise... I'm not big on forgiveness...
Alternatively, the local TV company might need a car or two to wreck as part of their filming schedule?

I didn't, they had removed that model and a couple of others I wanted a look at. They weren't answering questions about them either. What's going on?blackout60800 wrote:I did see bacchy's pre-production D11/2 at York today:
