Hello everyone.
I have started work on the promised unveiling of the B8 4-6-0 in Great Central Railway black livery. I would like to encourage those who have valuable comments necessary to recreate the tender as close to the original as possible to speak up.

Regards.

There are a range of details to correct on the tender. Although a number of the larger boilered GC locos had oval buffers on the engine the tenders all had round buffers of 14 inches diameter.
The small vertical handrails in front of the tender side sheets were proud of the small plates hey were attached to - so the strips on the top of those plates were curved out at the front.
The rear coal plate at the back.of the bunker should be much further forward because there is a large arrangement of box type covers over the water filler and the water pick-up gear in front of the water filler which are all behind the coal plate.
Hope this all makes sense?
I'll find a photo the rear deck of the tender to show what I mean.
These corrections all apply up until at least WW2 after which the water pick-up may have been removed meaning the operating wheel at the front of the tender would then have been removed.

Although these photos are of details from a self trimming tender they're still applicable to the tender with the B8. They came from Tony Gee a while ago - I'm not sure if he actually took them or not.

Welcome.
At last, after several days of struggle, I am pleased to present the promised model. This is one of the final touches to the Robinson designed locomotive, a LNER B8 4-6-0 in Great Central Railway black colours. All mistakes relating to the tender have been corrected.

Regards.

In order to complete the LNER B8 model one hundred per cent, I present two additional (final) livery variants that I made over the last week.
They include colours such as:
-L&NER still in the same style as GCR black
-A modified workshop version of the Great Central colour scheme with grey replacing black, grey frame and the rest of the components.
