Looking much like the back of Farrer St, aunt and uncle had a corner shop on Cannon St.( before the street war ! ) A few hundred yards forward of the tender would be Newport station.
Jubilee No 45594 Bhopal at Saltburn whit monday 1961, well Kenny its a shame that some others did'nt take photos at the time, most of my mates at the time would rather spend their pocket money on 'fags' they all thought I was daft for spending pocket money on a roll of film !
Also as a lad regular trips would be made to the local model shop in the Boro, the only local one to stock Trix Twin. It was sad when they closed long before the new A 66 road re-development.

mr B .. adding sunshine to the heritage line
I used to go to Listers and buy 00 scale Wilson lorry kits.....JB.
O' the good old days of modelling JB, after Listers closed Teesdales on Redcar prom was the new stockist for Trix Twin it was getting difficult to obtain as all my setup was 14v ac, the transformer is still in service powering peco piont motors on my loft layout.
Any way for todays photo we see Met Cam 101 in rail blue just crossed Fishermans at Warrenby, Tod Point Farm on the far right. This section of the line was re-routed over Coatham Marsh in the 1980's.
Looks like we've ended up at Darlo' once more, heres a light loco resting between Richardsons and Cleveland Bridge. A bit of double exposure, someting you dont get with digital !

Hi Kenny, on the same weekend I had my new camera the legendery Zenith EM took photos of the same train, unfortunetly I'd been swopping the lens for a wide angle however it was'nt automatic, so as you can imagane they all turned out under exposed. Great stuff from Russia top rank for sandard and super 8 was the Quartz cine camera.
Dock Hill looks clean ! signs of the rail blue eara, and I bet Longbeck (Longbeck crossing Marske-by-sea) box diagram went for a song ! When Longbeck went electronic (?) Saltburn West was demollished and Longbeck controlled the line as far as Saltburn and the freight line to Carlin How.
Longbeck diagram sold for £55 - quite cheap considering it was actually an LNER diagram in it's original frame.Malton have been selling off the collection of the late CJ Wolstenholmes and I think there is more to come.
Redcar Central once again ,,, Redcar Races bailing out after a bank holiday meeting in the early 1950's the massive crowds flock over the footbridge on west dyke crossing, the bridge had to be taken down in the mid 50's because it be came unsafe.
