Black D15s?

Post by Cutter »

I have a question about the livery of surviving D 15s after the changes in 1928. Would these locomotives have been repainted in black when their turn came, or would they have remained green? Thanks in anticipation.

Just had a look in the relevant RCTS 'Greenie' for you and it seems all the D15s and D16s bar three eventually got painted black after 1928, the exceptions being D16s, 8783/7 and 8900 which were in green.

Hope this helps
