A Choronology of the Construction of Britains Raliways

Post by james b »

My Uncle was the "Chief of Police Eastern Region " 1962.
When he retired in the 80,s he researched the railways , and wrote this publication.
It is just by chance I have a copy ,as he was my mothers brother. And when my parents passed away ,we found it among a lot of other book s they had kept.
I believe it could be well out of print by now [other wise ,rare as hens teeth].
He lived at Peterborough, and staying with the family , I used to nip off to "New England " sheds on the quite.
Among the books , I found my old "photo album " It is one I made my self ,and still had all my old photos [brownie 127] still in side. All my combines and magazines had been ditched ,as they moved a lot after I joined the Royal Navy.

My old album , I will start another thread for it.
These photos I received off my uncle , while we stayed on holiday at Peterborough

This is the dust cover of the book..
