2 separate discusion pages LNER south & LNER north?
Richard, iv'e been thinking for a few weeks now would it be possible to split up the Discussion page into x2 separate Discusion pages if there was any interest for them to be separated from the membership, it's just an idea?.
One page for those with G.N.R. interests 'L.N.E.R. south' (Kings Cross to Shaftholme Junction) and another page for those with N.E.R./N.B.R. interests 'L.N.E.R. north' (Shaftholme Junction to Edinburgh and beyond).
I have noticed for a while on the forum that there are some people me included that only post topics in the southern part of the L.N.E.R. area and there are other people that only post topics in the northern part of the L.N.E.R. area.

Re: 2 separate discusion pages LNER south & LNER north?
As usual, I'm wary of dividing things in to too many forum folders. And what about pan-LNER subjects, of which there are many?
Most people are always only going to be interested in a subset of subjects, regardless of how we divide things.

Yeah no problem 52D it was just a thought iv'e been thinking about it for a few weeks now and it could have followed the old pre-grouping boundary at Shaftholme Junction (just north of Doncaster) for the North & South L.N.E.R. Discussion pages. Sometimes although it's not to common i must admit there has been 2 separate 'active posts' going on in the northern part of the L.N.E.R. and a second 'active post' in the southern part of the L.N.E.R. and personally speaking if the N.E.R. guy's are posting stuff i don't always like to come in and 'interrupt the flow' of there posts and post something to do with the southern part of the L.N.E.R. but it isn't a major problem with me guy's so please don't change it if everyone's happy with the current set-up especially yourself Richard.

Re: 2 separate discusion pages LNER south & LNER north?
Hmm.
I tend to have a scattergun approach. My knowledge is mostly about the locomotives - they are my area of interest - and I've learned a lot from this Forum about the rest of the railway network, not just the LNER. The depth of knowledge on there still amazes me! However, I often wonder if the division could turn out to be a difficult one to define and to police.
For me, it's great as it is.

Thanks giner, that’s the first time that anyone’s found any of my posts remotely amusing!
