Hi Tom,
Not forgetting the 'restored' ECJS 6-wheelers. At York I think.
Great stuff.

Great viewing.

Yes John the GNR 6 wheelers are at York, the war memorial is just infront of the single.
Some track was found at the back of the memorial when we did West Offices.

Many thanks for the link.

Are there two streamlined trains?
One sequence has the beaver tail, and one does not.
Or is it just winter and summer formation.

The freight train interests me. I can't really identify the locomotive. Is it a K3?
The leading vehicle though appears to be an NER bogie van to Dia G7.

I'm interested in how long these vehicles remained in mainline service, so is there any way of dating this sequence other than sometime in 1936 or after?

The loco is a K3, there's a G7 directly behind the tender followed by two LMS vans in bauxite, two LNER or late NER 12t vans and what looks like a G2 just before the opens. I can't get very good resolution when I freeze it, but that's what I see.

Edit - had another look. Behind the vans there's a well wagon with carrying beams, like a pulley wagon. I think there's a runner in front of it, unless it's part of a set. Shame they cut away before it comes more into view.
