Re: Micks 4mm LNER Models
A couple of Locos re worked/improved
W1 which I last showed with the cab veering towards the sky. After adjustments now much better.
Dominion Of Canada with a reworked Tender that now has the chrome stripe in a much better postion than Hornby have managed on their versions.
A number of other Locos have stalled at the moment waiting for etched detail parts to complete.

Golden Eagle and Kingfisher
Re: Micks 4mm LNER Models
Guillemot and Silver King
Hornby weathered LMS CCT
Big thanks to Graeme as all the A4's has damage and/or missing parts . His resin Single chimneys, Buffer apron and Oil Drive Casting have made these models so much easier to build and repair.

Golden Eagle looks a beauty Mick!
The green looks a trifle brighter than your usual. Is it simply awaiting final "dulling down"?

Usual Precision Doncaster Green, I can only presume artificial lighting as i.d with Kingfisher version in daylight. Tender is in the original Hornby livery.

Re: Micks 4mm LNER Models
I envy your patience Mick, those green ones are stunning. I like Mr King have a soft spot for A4s in proper green.
Quick point to make, Silver King should have red backed nameplates in late 30s condition.

'The background colour of the nameplates was originally black (as it was on other LNER named locomotives) but from about 1938 the 'special' A4's (i.e Nos 2509-2512, 4488-92/5/6) had theirs changed to light red. Nos. 4469/98/9, 4500 were also altered similarly when they received stainless steel embellishments in 1939.

They're splendid models, Mick!
Any chance of some more pics of 'Kingfisher'? She's right to be shy behind her more photogenic sister, but in many ways she's the more interesting of the two...
