Doncaster Photo of Mystery Wagon
Can anyone identify this vehicle built at Doncaster and posed outside the carriage shops? The answer is actually quite simple although not what you might expect.

Those raves angled out at the sides are very reminiscent of agricultural hay and straw wagons - provender for railway animals? Pole for two horses, so whatever it is is heavy.

Well done Bill. It is one of many many 'Wagons GS' built by the various workshops during WW1 and the IWM believe that it is the best photo they have seen of an original Wagon GS.
