Are they doing the outside frame version??? If so which 02/ nos is that.
Could I also suggest if we don't all rush our orders in immediately Mr Hatton might have a glut and start knocking them out cheaper by about next spring!!! [as in O4 LNER livery at £69!!!!!] and I'll buy 6!!

Confirmation received that Hattons were given incorrect information and the first release will be 02/3's and 02/4's.

Good afternoon,

In such circumstances does anyone know what Hattons will do with the pre-orders which were for different types of 02?

You may guess I have more than a passing interest.

Vernon

I wonder WHO got the information wrong?

Surely anybody who has ordered an incorrectly advertised product is legally entitled to cancel the order, and morally entitled to retain their place in the "queue" if they wish the order to stand for the "revised" product.

Maybe they'll allow you to order a model of a Canberra instead, but they'll call it a B57 to confuse customers.

At least the Martin B57 had a jewel of an engine rather than a cosmetic engine.

I just CANNOT find a B57 in the green book: nor a B5(7). Was it something rushed up on the quiet for some Fenland byway?

Afternoon all

The Martin B57 was the licence built American version of the English Electric Canberra bomber.

The B57 was powered by Wright J65s the licenced built version of the Bristol Siddeley SAPPHIRE whereas the Canberra was powered by Rolls Royce AVONs.

At least four of each variant?

I am going to need to re-mortgage my house

All are listed as being for delivery in early 2015.

Is this latest Hattons claim that an O2/2 will be part of the first wave of models any more reliable than their previous erroneous announcement? I understood that the official policy at Heljan was that the GN style cab, GN tender, lower running plate and short-travel valve gear would have to wait to make an appearance.

Call me a cynic, but my guess is that it is an attempt to discover just how popular the variations are going to be, and then concentrate on the ones with the most pre-orders (but please keep that to yourself).
