Hi,
I am trying to find out what formations the LNER ran their coaches in i.e was there a brake at each end, were 1st class always the London end of the train, was it first class one end of train and 3rd the other or was it mixed and if so was there a set pattern for them and also where did the sleeper/ restaurant cars sit in all of this. I know the local trains won't have have sleepers etc but would like to find out how the train consist is formed
Any information on this matter would be appreciated
Thanks

That's only one volume - he's threatening up to three or four.
You can work from things like WTTs and Carriage Diagrams (the NERA publish some, for example) in combination with photographs for trains which Carter and Banks haven't or won't cover.
