Both up to your usual neat livery standards Mick. If the green on that A3 tender is either Railmatch or Precision Donny green then the contents of your paint tins and jars must be totally different to the contents of my identically labelled containers .

Its the usual Precision Doncaster version, perhaps artificial lighting ??

Only just noticed your superb O4/8 and O1.
My 3828 is probably not as good as yours. I made it before I had seen Atlantic's conversion.

I've just treated myself to a Hornby 3755, and have not gone beyond running-in and looking at it yet.
To my eyes, the Hornby lettering looks to be gold transfers, and my quick scan of Yeadon suggests that it should have shaded transfers, but I would have thought they would have been shaded yellow ones.

Is it possible that you could say what you did with yours?

(I always seem to prefer un-shaded lettering - perhaps because I have may have childhood memories!)

Weathering is a mix of matt black and leather airbrushed on then streaked/blended with thinners and a brush and cotton buds whilst still wet.
I believe post war locos used Gold as well as Yellow lettering.

Tender for future build of Apple green version of A1/1 Great Northern. same Apple Green as last time , surprised no one has commented on the lettering colour on the A2/3 Tender above which is Cream. This version was only used on GN and A2/3 Airborne.
This has had new rear steps and water overflow pipes as missing on purchase and Tender sides straightened. on looking at photos some more tidying work is needed to the lining/paint on front of the Tender.

Not wishing to be pedantic but the underframe you have used is one for a corridor tender as the rear steps are different! I've been caught out with this myself before now. I keep a couple of spare underframes (one of each) just in case I come across the same problem in creating some of my mix 'n match A1s and A3s!

Non corridor tenders have steps flush with the rear of the tender body, whilst corridor tenders have them sticking out to the rear.
