As there have been requests from forum members for more drawings I have set up this separate topic to enable drawings of locos to be posted other than those poposed designs. Here is the V4 as asked for.

Probably my favourite class of locomotive - I wonder how many of them we would have seen had war not intervened? Perhaps we would have had a preserved example or two now.....

Do you, by any chance, have a drawing of the LNER main line diesel which was proposed towards the end of the company's existence, please?

I have never seen a drawing of this proposal, the only diesel proposal I have details of (drawing to follow in the Locos that Never Were section) was the proposed conversion of one of the Newport-Shildon Electrics.

In the dim and distant past I remember broaching the subject with no less a person than Ozzy Nock when he was on a visit to Teddy Boston's and he seemed to think that what he had seen would have been very similar in appearance to an EM1 electric. Anybody else out there help?

Thanks v. v. much for the V4 line drawing.

Although introduced in 1941 it is very much an engine of pre-war design. As someone once said "A Rolls Royce engine for a Ford car job". Whilst I admire the design, I cannot help but think that Thompson's simpler B1 was better suited to the wartime and post-war conditions of operation and maintenance.

Hi everybody,

I've obtained a Gauge 1 model of J69 68619, and would like to 'rebuild' it as the Liverpool Street East side Pilot circa 1960.

The model has the straight top to the side tanks and no ejectors or tank top pipework. Are there any drawings available showing this information?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Check out the Great Eastern Railway Society at www.gersociety.org.uk. Under "Sales" you will find a large number of drawings.

The J-69s, including line drawings and photos has been covered in a recent GERS Journal.

I have a fairly basic J69 which I have'nt yet worked up. The only GER locos I've actually done so far are the B12s and the Claud Hamiltons. If anybody wants any of these I will upload!

I have the Roche drawing which is ok up to a point, it's the tank extension and tank top plan that would be a real help to me.

Iain Rice wrote a three piece article about the Buck Jumper in the Model Railway Journal of the late 20's - 30's issues.
I can't put my hand to the copies of them at the mo.Perhaps someone else on the group might have it to hand.
