Ixion's first model
Ixion have announced their first model on their website and it's a GWR Manor. What a complete and utter disappointment. Aren't there enough Great Western offerings about?
Hi I had a bit of a chat with Chris of Ixion at Ally Pally today and to be honest I can see his reasoning behind this choice for a first model. However, while Chris is keeping the planned future locomotive releases secret he did mention that they'd all be steam for the time being and cover the Big Four - including some pre-grouping types.

Ixions first born
I have to agree. BORING another GWR 4-6-0. They all look the same. No character.
I have been in touch with Lindsay by email and expressed my dissapointment
and suggested that Ixion should be looking at a K or a C or even a P and that they should sell in good quantities and compliment Dapols B17 and Gresley coaches.
What say you all Give `em heaps. GO the LNER.

Real Trains Run on Steam and have LNER on the tender.
Ixion Manor
Me again I hate GWR Boring locos that all looked the same even if it was a Star, a Hall, a Saint, a Manor or even a King from a distance.
Ixions choice is not exactly a widespread engine there was only ever 30 built in all and most ran on the Cambrian lines, so if you are modelling a Paddington mainline no good for you.
I hope they are a success but it seems doubtful.
