I use a Canon 8800F scanner which can handle negatives/slides up to 6x9cm. It may have been superseded by now but it does produce a very good image from 120 slides. 35mm still come out grainy but if you scan them at a high resolution they are acceptable. Cost of the Canon was around £120.00 but proper film scanners can cost £100's. If you buy one second hand, do make sure you get all three film holders and the CD.
The scanner also works well with Photoshop.

Re: More old 127 Film
Hello Ten Ten,
Nothing expensive just an Epson 2480 (scans film & docs). Scan the neg and save onto PC.
Next open up the scanned neg and close again.
Then open up Picasa (free download from Google) this will automatically find and copy the neg just opened.
The neg is stored on Picasa in a library, open up the neg and you have a selection of tools one of these is invert, this creates a positive.
Further tools allow manipulation of the image.
Hope this helps?

For scanning software, I use Vuescan - http://hamrick.com/
It has all the options (b/w, negatives, slides, colour correction, etc.) built in.

Re: More old 127 Film
I just bought this slide on Ebay, and thought it would bring back many memories for contributors and visitors here.
I know that it is a difficult question, but are there any clues which might narrow the date down from the range of March 1967 (when St Paddy acquired full yellow ends) to July 1969 (blue livery)?
