I have purchased a box of assorted transparencies, some of which were of the Shildon cavalcade in 1975.
They are of variable quality, but I have added them to my flickr pages here :-

Thanks Margaret.
I have not scanned them all yet, so will add more as I have time.

Re: Stockton & Darlington 150 Cavalcade day
Whilst exploring a loft this morning - akin to tidying your sock drawer on a rainy day - I discovered in some of my father's 'stuff', a box of slides that I had long forgotten.
British Transport Films. Cavalcade Part A and Grand Cavalcade B. British Transport Films, Melbury Terrace.
He worked at Melbury Terrace in the 1970s and I guess he grabbed a set whist they were going as he had little interest in steam, as he primarily worked on the electrification of Euston to Crewe
All the slides are there and appear to be copies from originals as they are typical of the colour of the 1970s.
I also have the lists and descriptions but in set A there are more slides than matching descriptions.
Set A. 20 slides. "This unique collection of slides captures the early morning atmosphere at Shildon as the locomotives are prepared."
Mainly of close ups of people oiling and cleaning.
The Set B. 35 slides - all seem to be taken from a bridge on a straight track and are very dull compared to images taken by the current batch of photographers we have on this forum.
I suspect that if there is anything of interest for this group, it'll be in Set A, so I'll list the LNER locos listed.

LNER K1 2005
LNER 246
NER 910
LNER 4771
(Sorry I don't have the names of the personnel but if you were there, then get back to me!)
In Set B
All LNER unles otherwise stated.

GNR Stirling 1 (behind 4498)
4472
NER 910 (behind4472)
GNR 990
If any of these are of interest, then let me know. I have an amateur slide scanner and would be happy make some digital copies of the greatest interest to the members.
