D113
And finally the dynao belt was fitted, made out of thin brass strip.
Now I've posted these pics etc I feel I must find the time to get them completed, at the moment they are sat in a box in the loft, I can feel the urge to get them down coming on. Must resist.

Resistance is futile!
I do like the teak effect, but I think I have said that previously.

The restricted expansion of the un-coupled connector sounds a useful advantage if you want to re-marshall coaches.
I can do A3 double chimneys Dave. Haven't so far seen the need to try singles when EKM often have a reasonable Hornby one at a mere 50p.

Re: Daves C & W Works
Mercator, I missed your post, thank you for your comments.
Mike, yes you have in the past, I got another of your kits at York the other week, 1st/3rd corridor to add to the stock.
Graeme, Thanks for that info about EKM doing one for 50p, I need 2 single ones to replace a couple of brass ones (Crown Line I think) that look too big to my eye. Why I fitted them years ago is beyond me now. I did not know they were seperate items now, just assumed they were still moulded to the boiler.

Re: Daves C & W Works
Whilst the boss was watching the last pedestrian episode of Broadchurch, I went in the loft and got the box labled 'wagon kits to be finished' down (I found it when clearing the loft out) and had a look at the long forgotten bits that have made their home in it.
Well help is required, I found a D & S fret, not bits no instructions with it, I know it's a horsebox and it has a ref of 177 etched onto one of the parts, does anybody know what Dia it is and what company. I think it's NER in origin. Now I don't ever remember buying it either, I was amazed at the amount of D & S NER signal bits that were in the box.
Thanks in advance.

DS177 is a Diagram 191 North Eastern Railway horsebox, the later NER type.
I have instructions, one nearly complete and others to do. I will email the instructions direct.

Not this one, then?
I do have one of the other ones but not yet built.

Jonathan,
Yes, that one.
The roof is a bit tricky. I will see if I can post some pictures. The model is only in grey primer though, a state it has been in for some ........ time.

Re: Daves C & W Works
John...thank you I will look forward to the instructions and further photos.
Jonathan...thanks for the pic.
I wonder if Dan still does the castings for this kit, looks like it will be a challenge without them, I feel another letter coming on.

Re: Daves C & W Works
He's done this kit as a reissue (mine was a recent buy) so he may well have castings. You'll find that roof...er... character building.
Re: Daves C & W Works
Hi, I thought I had a later picture, but this will have to do.
The roof is another aeroplane wing job. I hope the extra hinges on the doors and step details are clear, amongst other things. If not, I will post the pathetic progress. Or even better do something about it.
