Indeed the "old" Dole office in Felling has an EviiR "foundation" stone in the front wall that faces onto Holly Hill. The building is now a pre-school nursery for the younger aged children.

It's reckoned there are about 16,000 Royal Mail postboxes in the UK.
In total 271 were made during Edward VIII's reign and about 130 of them (all pillar boxes) survive with his cipher on. The real rarities are Edward VIII wall boxes; only 6 were ever made!

Isn't it the same with the old 1933 penny?. Wasn't there ONLY seven 1933 penny coins minted which are all worth 'a pretty penny' nowadays and are in collections.

In addition to the Cuffley Edward VIII box there's also supposed to be one at grid reference TL316125 "Near Hertford N Stn on A602", but that comes from Branch Johnson's "Industrial Archaeology of Hertfordshire" (1970) though, which is a pretty slipshod piece of work (doesn't list the Hoddesdon Penfold VR pillar box, purports to list all surviving village pumps but misses out Allens Green which is still there today and contains multiple mis-statements about Hertfordshire's first railway; Palmer's Cheshunt monorail).

The A602 doesn't run through Hertford and the grid reference seems to be Campfield Road which isn't "Near Hertford N Stn on A602" anyway (at least not by road), it's off the A414 on the Welwyn Garden City side of the viaduct leading into Hertford North.
