HI wondering if anyone can help me with identifying LNER boo

Hi , I'm collecting the original LNER guides produced in the 30's, I have most of them except two

Rambles around Caergwrle and one I cannot identify which I have attached a picture of, can anyone please help me, what the name of it? it's a poor picture but as you can see it looks like its by the sea and I have no idea what its called.

If you can help that would be great and if you have one of these books for sale I would be interested
in buying.

It's not Yorkshire, as you know; could it be Northumberland? (What is missing in your collection from the coastline that was served by the LNER?)

I think the cover picture is Flamborough-attached photo of Selwick Bay from Geograph TA 2570(© Copyright Martyn Gorman and licensed for reuse under this Creative Commons Licence),which looks very similar.

Meant to add the NRM sell a poster for ' Rambles on the Yorkshire Coast and Moors 'which will come up on a web search.Its not the same image.

I agree that the cover of the mystery book shows Flamborough Head. The book next to it is 'Yorkshire Coast and Moors', so I wonder if the mystery book dealt only with the Wolds (Market Weighton to Malton) and Holderness Coast (Hornsea and Withernsea).

I agree that Flamborough or Bempton cliffs are the most likely contenders but it could also be that stretch of cliffs southwards from the Redcar area.

Looking at the bottom left of the picture you're pointing to, I think I can make out the title starting 'YORKS . . .'. So most of the folks here are on the right track (sorry!). Summer is on the way, might be nice day trip for you.

bit far inland , are you thinking of Hinderwell for Runswick Bay (station name) you turn off at Hinderwell for Port Mulgrave.

it looks like a bit of artists licence on the brochure , but i dont think he would have the white cliff's wrong , and it looks like its back to Flambrough - now is it north or south landing ?

Thanks all for posting but I'm still none the wiser would love to know what the book is ,I even looked on all my inside covers of my collection, but I think its one I have but with a different cover as these were produced yearly and British Rail copied them later on, so it could be a British Rail guide what do you think? can't beleive thats the only picture on the internet. I can tell this is going to bug me for a while!!!

The cliff pattern matches Flamborough very well. For cliff colour, the only options would be the chalk (Flamborough is the most well known (only?) coastal outcrop in LNER territory) and the Permain Magnesian Limestone. Not sure if that outcrops near Redcar, but it outcrops near South Shields: Marsden Rock/etc.
