Hi
Can you guys please help, i have a couple of shhhhh!! blue diesels and i have recently had some difficulties with them.
My BR blue (new style) hornby 31 has lost its red lights at one end is this an easy fix usually or more of a back to hornby job?
My Vi trains class 37 won't sit on its wheels and appears to have a buckled chassis. They don't appear to have a website so how does one go about getting these chaps fixed?
Lima Hst's I have a pair and was wondering about re motoring them for either the model torque or Bahn conversions does anyone have any experience of these or know the best value for money?
My Anglia class 170 (bachmann) has also got light problems as in not working is this an easy fix and do bachmann do a repair service like hornby?
Many thanks for any help and I am so sorry for the wrong period-ness but i don't know where else to ask.
Excuse my vices!!!

don't forget about the Great Eastern Railway
I've tried modeltorque. They seem a bit pricey (mainly due to the carriage from Australia I think), but are easy to fit. This made a worthwhile difference to my Lima DMU - its now presentable. I also fit one in a custom built Kestrel (with a disappointing lima chassis!), but that hasn't panned out so well. But that might not reflect on the motor - I need to find time to give it another look...
I've also experienced problems with Bachmann lighting - in my case a class 37. I've not found time to fix it yet...
best

Re the Hornby 31.
The lights on these work via contact springs so check you haven't bent one inadvertantly. Alternatively, it may have just lost its boing. The same thing has just happened to the pick-ups on my Flieschmann Black Anna. As it's only an 0-4-0, it can't afford to lose pick-ups on one axle.....
