The Churnet Valley Railway on the 30th December 2012 featuring recently overhauled S160 6046 also debuting on the Cauldon Lowe branch.

Ay up!

Much though I dislike the S160s, there is a certain awesome majesty about a loco working flat out.
If I ain't here, I'm in Bilston, scoffing decent chips at last!!!!

I have to agree, very ugly but very loud! Was rather nice hearing it working flat out up the valley yesterday!

Remember guys these locos did a lot of work on the LNER and although there were problems and accidents with them due to unfamiliar American ways of doing things they are definitely part of the LNERs history.
Hi interested in the area served by 52D. also researching colliery wagonways from same area.
