Grimsby and Immingham Electric Railway

Post by ashley »

I maintain an internet reference web site dedicated to British tramway company uniform buttons of the British Isles (http://www.birches.plus.com) and am trying to find out what uniform buttons and badges were worn by tramcar staff of the Grimsby and Immingham Electric Railway. I'm assuming that staff wore the buttons and badges of the respective parent railway companies, however, given that several patterns exist for each of these, I was wondering if anyone had any good photographic (or other) evidence which would help?

- GCR (block initials or coat of arms buttons?)
- LNER (ccript initials, coat of arms or 'eye' or all three?)
- BR (early pattern button?)

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers, Ashley Birch (Hig Peak)
