He's not going to get many bids, listing it under "Catalogues and Magazines"!

£399?! For an OO model?!

Who in their right mind would pay that much for that?!

Clearly, this person has little grasp of the acceptable pricing of models.

Well, I've just paid almost £900 for a professionally-built 00 gauge BR standard 3MT 2-6-0, but I certainly wouldn't shell out on this eBay auction: the seller hasn't even bothered with pictures of the whole locomotive (though he does take up pretty much a full screen with his terms and conditions, and feedback to show what a splendid seller he is...), or details of the motor/gearbox, etc.

I'll post pictures of my new 3MT in the next couple of weeks. Although she isn't, of course, ex-LNER she did spend her life in the North-East.

Thats true, pics are very poor and the livery looks suspect. £900 that must be some loco, looking forward to the pics.
Most I have paid is £275 for a Wrenn B0fB spam can but I may break that record very soon.

Here's a picture provided by the builder - he's waiting for the 52C shedplate before sending her off to me. The slightly uneven cabside numbering will be fixed before despatch.

She is fitted with a Lenz Gold DCC decoder and USP module, and I am assured she runs as well as she looks. Anyway, once she arrives I'll take a couple of pictures of my own and post them in a separate thread.

I'd go for the one on Ebay, to sit on display, but not at that starting bid, a rake of coronations went for less than that, I was bidding as I couldn't afford the 250 buy it now for a couple of days, then they went, and I was gutted!

Well it still has no bids. hardly suprising.
A finecast kit has come on, put a bid it but dont think I wll follow it up as obtaining the chassis may be a big problem.
The NRM are inviting suggestions for another limited edition release following the success of the prototype Deltic and I have suggested the W1.
I for one think it would be a sell out should it happen, the 3000 Deltic units went straight off

my deltic didn't sell on ebay, that comes of putting in a fake bid, and winning it yourself, so I still have one for sale, any takers.

Shill bids are against eBay rules - see http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/community/shill.html. I'm surprised you admit to it.

I did to be fair, offer a second chance, but forgot to alter the amount of days, so after one day he didn't respond, and now I can't offer him it again!

So what I presume you mean is that you bid on your own item (using, perhaps, a second eBay account or that of a friend/colleague) so as to increase its sale price, inadvertently beating the legitimate bid of a genuine user, to whom you then (with touching generosity) offered a "second chance" offer?
