Epping to Liverpool Street station loco photos wanted
Are there any members here that may have photos showing the drivers on the Epping to Liverpool Street Station between 1940-1960 please, I am trying to find a photo that may show my father & grandfather. Thank you for your time. Anthony

Providing their names would be helpful - searches can then be made of such as the LNER Magazine and the BR Magazine (currently being digitised by the GER Society), plus other sources. We are not mind-readers...anthonygos wrote:Are there any members here that may have photos showing the drivers on the Epping to Liverpool Street Station between 1940-1960 please, I am trying to find a photo that may show my father & grandfather. Re: Epping to Liverpool Street station loco photos wanted
Sorry Gent's, this is out of a book "EPPING THROUGH THE EYES OF FRED By Fred Brown 25th April 1918 - 27th July 2005"
"The LNER ran steam trains from Liverpool Street to Ongar, the fore runner of the now Central Line, and a small marshalling yard was at the station way as I previously mentioned, with a turntable, a shed for repairs and several sideings. Some of the local rail men were Loco Drivers Charlie Edwards, "Fiery" Furlong, Sammy Petley, Joe and Bill Gosling, "Tinny" Green and Mr King. Tom Clark was Foreman Porter, "Boysie" Searing and my brother Harry were Firemen and, of course, there were others that I cannot now remember."
Joe is my grandfather & Bill is my father & the surname should be (Gostling) hope it helps, would love to have a photo or any info related to them. Thanks again Anthony.
