When I was firing on locals at Enfield, the Liverpool Street/Southend commuter trains were worked by B12s or as we called them 1500s.
I always thought the 1500s were nice looking engines. Some of the old Enfield drivers who had fired on them at Stratford, spoke of the long fireboxes and the distance between tender and firehole door, which needed a long handled shovel.

I had one of the Tri-ang models as a kid - still got it in fact - and have had a soft spot for the 1500s ever since.
