Re: A4
Try using a works drawing, there's a few scattered on google. Just as a note, 'A4' as a topic heading isn't too good. Perhaps 'A4 parabolic lining template question' or something along those lines would be more appropriate

There is also a works drawing (reduced in size) showing the livery details for the Coronation A4s in Part 2 of Yeadon. No A4 modeller whould be without it!

Re: A4 parabolic curve.
Just to complicate things, some variation in the exact curve has also been noted on different locos.

Re: A4 parabolic curve.
Ah, I researched this. 60010, 60008 and 4464 have the same arrangement of parabolic curve which matches LNER photos of A4's. 4468 is in the process of a repaint but will have the correct shape, whilst 60009's is quite different to the norm and 60007's deviates slightly. So, for the best current representation, try to get a close up look at Bittern

Re: A4 parabolic curve.
Ive added the valences to a HD Silver King and used one coat of precision recommended paints.Ive reasembled the tender temperaraly as i have to add some streamlineing to the tender sides.
Looking at the model at the NRM the paint from pecision looks darker for the valences than on the model.
Iam still not sure weather iam up to doing airbrushing and dont want to waist money buying a kit ect .Would much prefer to have someone paint it for me or at least find some rattle cans that are similar shades
Anyone know if any of the humbrol greys are similar nto the silver grey needed.
ps The pics have come out a bit dark anyway but atm my pc is not reconiseing my camcorder
