Also came upon her unexpectedly yesterday, seen from a passing train, facing south with SS headboard, simmering in the south end spur of the down side sidings (still called Dringhouses these days?) SW of Holgate Jn. at York, at about 0920. The maroon 'West Coast' stock was further north in one of the through sidings, looking rather extra drab in the rain.
And a 33 diesel loco (33206?) also in West-Coast livery, was in a siding on the down side of York station's south end.
